Cold Slaw

From an
1897

Use 1/2 head of Cabbage chopped fine.
Take 1 c. of Vinegar,
2 Tbsp. of Sugar,
Salt & Pepper to taste,
and 1 Tbsp. of Butter.
Let the Dressing heat thoroughly,
and just before it scalds add 1 beaten Egg.
Pour the Dressing over the Cabbage
and let it stand a few minutes before serving.
Very nice with Meats of any kind.
