Cream Wafers

1 c. Butter ~ or Margarine
1/3 c. Whipping Cream
2 c. Flour
Mix and chill for 1 hour.........
Roll dough 1/3 inch thick on
lightly Floured board.
Cut into 1 1/2 inch round pieces.
Transfer to wax paper &
sprinkle with Sugar on both sides.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Prick with fork.
Bake 7 to 9 minutes,
or until puffy.
Put 2 cooled cookies together with Filling.
Filling:
Blend 1/4 c. Butter,
3/4 c. Powdered Sugar,
1 Egg Yolk,
1 tsp. Vanilla
Can be tinted any color, if desired.
