9 Qt. Watter

Melt Tallow,
then dissolve the Lye
in the Water.
Slowly pour the Lye Water
into the melted Tallow
and with a wooden paddle,
stir for at least 15 minutes,
adding the Lye Solution
during the entire length of time.
When the mass has thickened,
pour into molds or pans.
