Raised Doughnuts

From an
1897
cook book

Add to 1 pt. of Milk-Bread Dough
1 Egg,
1/2 c. of Sugar,
1/4 tsp. of Baking Soda,
and 1/2 pt. of Warm Milk.
Add Flour enough to knead,
and let it rise until morning,
when it should be cut and fried
without remolding.
