Boston Cream Pie

2 Eggs, -{separated
1 c. Sugar
1 c. sifted Cake Flour
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1 dash Salt
1/2 c. hot Milk
1 Tbsp. Butter
.
Beat Egg Whites stiff.
Fold in beaten Egg Yolks,
and beat together.
Gradually beat in Sugar.
First, mix and sift the
Flour, Baking Powder, and Salt...
then fold into mixture.
Add hot Milk in which Butter has been melted.

Bake in layer pans about 25 minutes,
in moderate oven.

Cream Filling

3/4 c. Sugar
1/3 c. Flour
1/2 tsp. Salt
2 Eggs, -{well beaten
2 c. Scalded Milk
1 tsp. Vanilla
.
Combine Sugar, Flour, and Salt.
Add Eggs, then Milk.
Cook 15 minutes in double boiler.
Cool and flavor with Vanilla.
Top Cake with Chocolate Frosting.
