Sour-Cream Cake

From a
1908 Cook book

1 c. Sugar
2 Eggs
1 c. Sour Cream
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
2 c. Flour
1 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Lemon Extract
.
Beat the Sugar, Egg Yolk, &
Cream very light;
sift in the Flour, Baking Soda,
and Baking Powder.
Flavor to taste,
add the Whites of Eggs that were
beaten to a stiff froth in a loaf Cake
.
Bake until done.
