Pecan Bars

From a
1945
cook book

1 c. Butter
2 c. light Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
2 c. chopped Pecans
2 c. Flour
2 tsp. Baking Powder
1 Tbsp. Vanilla
.
Put Butter and Sugar in a
large heavy sauce pan.
Heat, stirring constantly,
until Butter is melted,
and Butter & Sugar is blended,
add Vanilla,
beaten Eggs,
Pecans,
and Flour, and Baking Powder sifted together.
Mix well and put in baking pan.
Cook for 40 minutes with oven temp. at 325 degrees.
Cool slightly before cutting in squares
and removing from pan to cool thoroughly.
