3/4 lb. Butter

1 1/4 lbs. Sugar

1 1/4 lbs. Flour

4 Eggs

1 pt. sweet Milk

1 level tsp. Saleratus, -{ Baking Soda

2 lbs. Raisins

1/2 lb. Citron

3 Tbsp. Cinnamon

1 large Tbsp. Cloves

1 large Tbsp. Mace

1 wineglass = (1/4 c.) Wine, ~ Or Brandy

1 nutmeg.

Mix the first ten ingredients together.

Mix Mace in a wineglass of

Wine, Or Brandy and add to the mixture.

Then add the Nutmeg.
