Chocolate Cherry Bars

from Miranda Heath
  • 1 large chocolate cake mix
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Mix together and place into a jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes

Frosting
  • 1 & 1/2 cups sugar
  • 6 Tbsp butter
  • 6 Tbsp mild
Boil for 1 minute and then add 1/2 cup of chocolate chips. Stir until the chips are melted and spread onto the bars.
