WHOLE WHEAT BREAD

Dissolve 1/2 cake of compressed Yeast in 1/2 cup of Water;
mix 1 pt. scalding Milk with 1 pt. of Water.
Let sit awhile.
When lukewarm, add the Yeast,
1 Tbsp. Sugar
1/2 Tbsp. Salt

Stir into 1 Qt. of Whole Wheat Flour and beat hard,
adding Flour enough to make a dough that can be handled.

Take out on the board, knead for 20 minutes,
return it to pan and let it rise 3 to 4 hours.
Then knead for 5 minutes more;
make into loaves, and let rise one hour.

Bake for about 1 hour.
