Dog Bone Soup

Don't throw away that Ham Bone!!
Use an Electric slow cooker, crock pot.
Start out with the Ham Bone from that Delicious Ham.
Leave a small amount of meat on the bone,
put the bone and all into slow cooker.
Add some small pieces of cut up Ham.
Start with 1 Qt. Water, in with the Ham Bone....
set on low heat for about 1 hour, to warm it up.
Then add the following:
1 Qt. of Home Canned Tomatoes
two 7 oz. cans of Mushroom Pieces & Stems
1 c. White Rice ~ (uncooked when measured, but cook & wrens it.
1/2 c. Finely Chopped Onions
1/4 c. Finely Chopped Green Pepper ~ (optional)
1 Tbsp. Garlic Powder
1/4 tsp. Ground Cloves
NOTE:
Other spices may be added to fit your own taste.
Mix well and turn up the heat to High, for about 30 minutes,
then turn back down to low, & let simmer.... stirring occasionally.
Don't throw away that bone... Dogs Love it.
Soup may even taste better, when warmed up the next day.
